1. Generally, puppies can be completely weaned at around 2 months old. At this time, puppies' teeth are mostly grown, and owners can replace breastfeeding with puppy food for feeding. Puppies may not adjust to dry food completely at first, so you can add some dry food into the milk powder that puppies drink to help them gradually accept dry food. It is recommended to choose pet milk powder specially designed for puppies instead of milk that may cause diarrhea and dehydration in puppies.

2. The puppyhood is a period of rapid growth, so it is advisable to feed puppies with high protein and calcium content food. Avoid spicy and heavy flavored food, as well as high-fat foods such as beef and chicken. It is better to cook meat before feeding it to puppies, and do not feed them raw meat.

3. Feeding puppies should be balanced and comprehensive, and it is not advisable to only choose one or two types of food that puppies like. This helps to prevent picky eating behavior when the puppies grow up.

4. Owners should provide puppies with regular and measured meals every day. Do not give them too many snacks or replace their main meals with snacks, as this may lead to nutritional deficiencies and serious picky eating behavior when they grow up.

Weaning methods for puppies:

1. Gradually provide puppy food to the puppies. Puppy food can be introduced when the puppies reach three weeks old. Do not completely wean the puppies all at once. Initially, the puppy food should account for about one-tenth of the puppies' daily calorie intake. The puppies will gradually stop breastfeeding as they adapt to eating puppy food.

2. In the following two to three weeks, gradually increase the amount of puppy food while reducing the amount of milk. If the puppies eat puppy food slowly, do not force them to wean faster, as this may lead to malnutrition. It is better to let them continue to breastfeed and slow down the weaning process.

3. When the puppies are eating puppy food, separate them from the mother dog for one hour, two to three times a day. Take the mother dog to another yard or room, allowing the puppies to be with the puppy food. This also simulates the weaning process in the wild.
