Benefits of neutering your dog:

1. Reduce aggression: The temper of the dog after ligation is milder; not only the personality will become calmer, but the concentration will be improved, and the frequency of howling can also be reduced.

2. Reduce the probability of genital diseases: reduce the probability of suffering from prostate disease, testicular cancer, hernia, and perianal adenoma.

3. Avoid the probability of breast tumors and ovarian tumors: ligation before the first estrus can greatly reduce the probability of breast cancer to less than 1%, and the rate of ligation after the first estrus will become 0.8. The second estrus is as high as 26%.

Disadvantages of neutering dogs:

1. Negative neutering triples the chances of a dog becoming obese. Being overweight can lead to arthritis, heart disease, pancreatitis, and diabetes. After the dog is ligated, if the owner continues to feed the same amount of food as before the ligation, the dog will easily gain weight.

2. Ligation increases the risk of hemangioma. Hemangiomas typically appear on the heart and spleen. Dogs that were neutered were twice as likely to develop splenic hemangiomas and four times more likely to have heart hemangiomas than dogs that were not neutered.

3. Vasectomy triples the risk of hypothyroidism.

4. Ligation increases the risk of Alzheimer's disease.

5. Ligation is risky. Twenty percent of ligation procedures will be accompanied by at least one complication, such as adverse anesthesia reaction, internal bleeding, inflammation or infection, abscess, incomplete suture and so on.

6. Vasectomy at the wrong age increases the risk of hip dysplasia, ligament rupture, osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and urinary incontinence.
