Ways to keep your dog quiet

1. Exercise more. Sufficient exercise can consume the energy of the dog. After playing or running all day, the dog would rather have a good sleep than waste energy barking.

2. Bite the bones. If there is something that can block the dog's mouth, they will have no time to bark. The harder the bite, the more challenging it is, so next time when you are going to go out, throw it to them first. A chewy toy to pass the boring time.

3. Spray water to calm down. If you have to, you can use this more violent method, which is to spray water on the dog. Splashing water with a small watering can can calm your dog down. Just be careful not to spray directly on your dog's head, as doing so can cause them to panic.

4. Make some noise. For those more nervous dogs, they will bark non-stop when they hear any trouble. If you can't completely eliminate the noise of the environment, you might as well create some sounds as distractions. For example, when the postman passes by, turn on the noisy vacuum cleaner to confuse the dog's hearing.

5. Respond to it. Sometimes the dog keeps barking just to convey a certain message to the owner. If the owner responds appropriately and expresses appreciation, the dog will naturally shut up after the task is completed.

6. Reward it. If the dog just refuses to shut up, the owner should immediately reprimand it in a firm tone: "Quiet!" When the dog stops barking, the director may as well give some snacks or praise to show encouragement. The purpose of doing this is to let the dog know that obedience and keeping quiet can be favored and rewarded by the owner.

7. Don’t pay attention to it. Some dogs, like human beings, can’t afford to continue to give long speeches without an audience. If they keep chattering, the owner might as well turn around and leave, and most dogs will shut their mouths wisely.
