Dogs go through three stages of pregnancy: 1. From the first day to the thirtieth day of pregnancy, when conception has just occurred; 2. The second stage is from the thirtieth day to the forty-fifth day of pregnancy, when the fetus in the abdomen starts to grow; 3. The third stage is from the forty-fifth day to the sixtieth day of pregnancy, when labor is about to occur.

Methods to take care of dogs in different stages of pregnancy:

Stage One: The first 1-30 days is the first stage, when the newly impregnated female dog should avoid vigorous exercise as it can result in a miscarriage. Maintain the normal feeding level for the female dog and do not add excessive meat, eggs, nutrients, or food volume, as the fetus grows slowly and is small in size. If too much food is fed, the nutrients will be absorbed by the female dog, leading to overweight and lack of exercise, which can increase the risk of difficult delivery.

Stage Two: The second stage is from day 30 to day 45 of pregnancy, when the fetuses in the female dog's abdomen start to grow. The most direct change you can observe is increased frequency of urination in the female dog. If you used to walk the dog once in the morning and once in the evening, you should add one or two walks per day and increase the amount of exercise appropriately to ensure the female dog's physical health. Add nutrients such as meat, eggs, and yogurt, but in small amounts. If the fetus absorbs too much nutrition and grows too fast, it can also result in difficult delivery.

Stage Three: The third stage is from day 45 to day 60 of pregnancy, and you can clearly see the female dog's belly increase in size! In the last few days, you can feel the fetuses rolling in the abdomen. Ensure a certain amount of exercise for the female dog. If she cannot run, take her for more walks. The female dog at this stage is always hungry, but you should control the amount of food you feed her. Overfeeding will harm her! The most important thing is to control the diet properly and maintain exercise.
