1. The best time for dog mating is early in the morning when the sky just gets light. Because it's quieter at this time, and the dog's sexual desire is better, it is easier to achieve mating. The cool evening is also possible. At the same time, pay attention to choosing a quiet location to avoid disturbance from idle people.

2. When the female dog is ready for mating, she will place her tail aside, and then the male dog will actively approach the female dog and then mount the female dog's back, resulting in initial ejaculation. Part of the male dog's penis (glans penis) swells up and locks into position, connecting each other.

3. After successful mating, the male dog's penis will be locked inside the female dog's vagina, and the male dog will also turn sideways to form a connected state between the two dogs. At this time, do not forcefully separate them. This state generally lasts for 20 to 30 minutes and then ends naturally. During this process, attention should be paid to stabilizing the female dog to prevent forced twisting and injury to the male dog.

4. Although this stage does not require supervision, it must be handled with caution. The female dog may suddenly become fierce or twist too early, causing injury to the male dog.

Precautions for dog mating:

1. It is necessary to supervise the estrus female dog well to prevent her from being impregnated by unselected male dogs, which will affect the quality of the offspring; the male dog is not allowed to go out to find estrus females, as it is easy to transmit diseases or be injured by other male dogs in competition for mates.

2. Mating should be conducted in a quiet and clean place. Except for the dog owner, do not let other idle people gather and cause disturbances.

3. After mating, do not drink water immediately or engage in intense exercise. The male and female dogs should rest in their respective kennels for a while.

4. Male dogs should not mate frequently to avoid affecting their health and shortening their breeding lifespan. Healthy adult male dogs should mate once a day, with a rest day every 3 to 4 days. Occasionally, mating twice in one day should have an interval of at least 6 hours, and rest is required the next day. The mating frequency of young and old male dogs should be reduced. When increasing the number of matings in unavoidable circumstances, nutrition should be strengthened to compensate. Generally, male dogs over 12 years old should not be allowed to mate again.

5. Although the female dog can breed twice a year, too frequent breeding has an impact on the physical condition of the female dog and the puppies. According to the age and health status of the female dog, it is appropriate to breed three litters in two years or one litter per year. Female dogs over 7 years old generally should not be bred again.

6. It is necessary to carefully record the start date of each estrus period, the duration of each estrus stage, and the mating date of the female dog for future reference.
