Instead, it is recommended to supplement with folic acid.

4. After the dog becomes pregnant, do not lift its front paws. The fetus is easily compressed. The correct way to hold it is to squat down and lift the dog's four legs together with both arms.

5. During the pregnancy of a female dog, it needs more attention and stronger emotional communication with its owner. Because during this special time, its temperament may change slightly, becoming irritable, impatient, and more dependent on its owner. It may bark because the food is not appetizing, being disturbed, or not being given attention. At this time, you should not scold it, as your comfort is more effective than loud reprimands. You can spend more time with the pregnant dog in your free time, comforting it through stroking to relieve its restlessness.

1. About an hour before the dog mother gives birth, her body temperature will drop by about 1 degree Celsius, and the owner should keep her warm.

2. The owner needs to provide a quiet and comfortable birthing environment for the dog. Usually, dogs do not need human assistance during delivery, but if there are difficulties in delivery or the placenta does not come out, the dog should be taken to a pet hospital for assistance.
