Symptoms of dog dystocia:

1. There is a past medical history of dystocia or genital tract obstruction; rectal cooling (down to 37°C) has not given birth for 24 hours.

2. The strong contraction of the abdominal wall lasted for 30-60 minutes, and the newborn fetus was not delivered.

3. No cubs are discharged within 1-2 hours of active delivery.

4. During voluntary labor, the rest period exceeds 4 to 6 hours.

5. The animal has obvious pain (groaning, licking and gnawing on the vulva), and there is dark, pus-like or blood-like discharge from the vagina.

6. Prolonged pregnancy (more than 70 days).

How to judge a dog's dystocia:

1. Judging from the number of days the dog is pregnant, if it is more than 72 days from the day of mating, the dog may have dystocia.

2. The mother dog's abdomen contracted obviously and strongly for more than 30 minutes and still did not give birth to a puppy.

3. The mother dog was in severe pain, and no puppies were born for a long time.

4. The amniotic membrane was broken, the amniotic fluid flowed out, and no puppies were born within two hours.

5. The mother dog appears very weak and has no strength to give birth.

6. After delivery of one or several fetuses, if the delivery does not continue for more than 4 hours, and there are still fetuses in the birth canal, it is dystocia. This dystocia is mostly dystocia.
