2. Joint rheumatism: It often occurs in dogs with large movable joints, such as shoulder joints, elbow joints, hip joints, knee joints, etc.; the affected joint capsule and its surrounding tissues are edematous, the shape of the joint is enlarged, and there is heat when palpated. Pain: The dog has difficulty getting up and lying down, and pacing during exercise, especially in the early morning or when lying on the ground and just standing up, but with the increase of exercise and the extension of time, the symptoms of lameness can be reduced or disappeared.

Treatment for dog rheumatism:

1. Give the dog analgesia and anti-inflammation first. Use 10 ml of 0.5% procaine hydrochloride solution, add 500,000 units of penicillin, and inject subcutaneously on the affected limb once a day for 2 consecutive days. (0.5 ml of habasin essence injection can be used for intramuscular injection in the affected limb, once a day for 2 consecutive days. This drug has certain toxicity and must be used strictly according to the prescribed dosage.)

2. Then dispel wind and dampness for the sick dog. Add 20 ml of compound sodium salicylate injection, add 1 ml of dexamethasone, and inject intravenously into the forelimb once a day for 3 consecutive days. At the same time, Analgin was taken orally, 2 tablets each time, once a day for 3 days.

3. In addition, strengthen the care of sick dogs. During the treatment period, put the sick dog in the sports field every morning and evening, 30 minutes each time. Keep the kennel dry, change the bedding frequently, and hang lights to supplement light and heat. Feed protein-rich, digestible food with added multivitamins.
