Rabies Symptoms

Symptoms of a rabies attack:

1. The sick dog showed violent restlessness and confusion. At the beginning of the disease, the main manifestations are depression, abnormal behavior, such as not listening to calls, preferring to hide in dark places, abnormal addiction, eating gravel, wood, soil and other things, and sick dogs often lick the bites with their tongues.

2. Furious and restless in the middle stage, attacking people and animals, often running aimlessly. Appearance The sick dog gradually becomes thinner, the lower jaw droops, and the tail droops and is sandwiched between the two hind limbs. Hoarseness, increased salivation, difficulty swallowing.

3. In the later stage, the sick dog had symptoms of paralysis, difficulty walking, and finally died of systemic exhaustion and respiratory paralysis.

Prevention and treatment of rabies:

1. Domestic dogs should be vaccinated regularly. At present, there are two kinds of rabies vaccines produced in my country, namely rabies vaccine and lyophilized rabies attenuated cell vaccine.

2. Strengthen quarantine. When unvaccinated dogs enter the country, in addition to strengthening isolation and inspection, they must be vaccinated in time. Otherwise, their entry is prohibited. Wild dogs and other wild animals that are not bred should be killed, especially in endemic areas.

3. Sick dogs and animals with clinical symptoms should be culled immediately and should not be treated. The corpse should be buried deeply and not eaten. For newly bitten dogs, timely treatment is required.

4. For the bitten person, the wound should be washed quickly with 20% soapy water, and treated with 3% iodine, and the rabies vaccine should be vaccinated in time, and the prevention and treatment effect can often be obtained.
