Causes of canine demodicosis:

1. Direct contact with sick dogs, or contact with clothes, toys, bowls, etc. used by sick dogs, thus infecting with Demodex mites.

2. Demodex can also be transmitted to puppies through the placenta.

3. There are usually a very small number of Demodex mites living in the dog's hair follicles, and occasionally in the sebaceous glands.

Symptoms of canine demodicosis:

1. When the dog is infected, the skin will produce a lot of dander, and the skin will become thicker, accompanied by symptoms such as erythema and papules.

2. When the dog is seriously ill, systemic symptoms may appear, such as fever, depression, anorexia, and enlarged lymph nodes on the body surface.

3. Hair loss. When the amount of Demodex mites increases, the hair follicles are destroyed, resulting in hair follicle necrosis and skin hair loss.
