Does dog deworming kill fleas?

Dog internal deworming will not kill fleas. When the dog has fleas, it needs to be treated with in vitro anthelmintics in time. The dose of the drug should be selected according to the dog’s weight. The in vitro anthelmintics will spread to the skin through the sebaceous glands, and the fleas will die after biting the dog. Regular external deworming is required to prevent flea infection. It is usually recommended to deworm dogs once a month.

How to get rid of fleas on dogs:

1. Comb the hair. Choose a fine-toothed lice comb to comb the dog's fur. Fleas will get stuck in the teeth of the comb. Stick the fleas to the strip or put them in water with soap or detergent to kill them.

2. In vitro deworming. Use the drops to brush the hair along the back of the dog's neck near the spine to expose the skin, and place a whole drop on the skin at the root of the hair.

3. Use flea powder. Choose flea powder, the treatment needs to be persistent, at least seven to thirty days.

4. Take a bath regularly. Put the pet-specific bath liquid on the dog to wash it, and leave it for three to five minutes. In serious cases, it can be left for more than ten minutes.

5. Environmental disinfection. It is also necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the home environment and the daily necessities of the dog.

6. Strengthen feeding management. Usually let the dog bask more in the sun and exercise moderately; feed regularly and quantitatively to prevent partial eclipse, and provide sufficient clean drinking water in time.

7. Wear a flea collar. Wearing the anti-flea collar on the dog's neck for a period of time will have a certain anti-flea effect. It is best to use other anti-flea methods to achieve better results.
