Grooming and Care Methods for Golden Retrievers:

1. Golden Retrievers are long-haired breeds and need to have their fur brushed every day. Use a brush to remove the hair and dandruff that the dog sheds. Pay particular attention to the hair behind the ears, as it tends to tangle easily. In addition, female dogs that have had their ovaries removed and male dogs that have been neutered may have thicker fur and require more careful grooming.

2. Golden Retrievers do not require professional grooming. After brushing the fur and removing the shed hair and dandruff, trim the hair on the soles of their feet, trim their nails, and clean their ears regularly. Nail trimming should be done every 3 to 4 weeks. Owners should regularly check the dog's paws and trim them appropriately.

3. Bathing Golden Retrievers should not be done too frequently. In summer, bathing once a month is sufficient, while in winter, bathing every 2 to 3 months is recommended. After bathing, use a suitable shampoo for Golden Retrievers and rinse thoroughly. During bathing, use a hair care nutrient to nourish the fur, and do this at least three times a year. Squeeze out excess water with a towel and blow-dry the fur with a hairdryer in the direction of hair growth. Then thin out the fur and trim any excess hair on the beard and other parts of the face.

4. The tail of a Golden Retriever should be trimmed from the tip to gradually create a feathered shape. The groomer will hold the end of the tail between their index finger and thumb and trim it into a curved shape. If the feathered fringe is too long and prone to getting dirty, use thinning shears to trim it.

5. Supplementing fish oil can make the Golden Retriever's coat look even better. Fish oil is an excellent source of Omega-3, which prevents dry and shedding hair, promotes the growth of new hair, helps the dog restore its natural coat color, and also ensures that the dog gets regular sun exposure.
