Precautions for feeding puppies

1. It is best for newborn dogs to be breastfed. After 2 months, they will have a stronger body after leaving the nest. The nutrition of breast milk is more comprehensive for puppies, and it is more suitable for the stomach of puppies. Dogs who have been breastfed for 2 months will have a stronger physique.

2. Be sure to control the eating speed, the eating speed is 1 ml of milk per minute. If the speed is too fast, it is very easy to choke on milk, and puppies that choke on milk are prone to aspiration pneumonia. Clinically, the mortality rate of aspiration pneumonia in puppies is as high as 60%.

3. Keep warm when puppies leave the nest early. Dogs under the age of one month should be fed goat milk powder at least 5 times a day. Especially when the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, when the puppy is sleeping, its small nest should be placed in the house, with a soft and warm cotton pad, and then a small blanket should be covered for the puppy.

4. Clean the kennel frequently to ensure that the place where the dog lives is clean and free of bacteria, because the puppy is just born, so the body's resistance is not good, and it is easy to be infected by bacteria and get sick.

5. Dogs can be vaccinated after 45 days. During this period, it is not advisable to take the dog out to avoid infection before the dog develops antibodies.
