1. Choose puppies born around 40 days old. Because puppies in this period have not yet left their mothers, they will play a vital role in cultivating the relationship with their owners in the future. Great Pyrenees have such a strong memory of their first owner after leaving the womb that they recognize and maintain a bond even after years of separation. But it should be noted that since the appearance of the dog before 5 months has not been determined in all aspects, there are certain risks, so you have to make a choice after careful weighing.

2. The head of the Great Pyrenees is required to be wedge-shaped, which is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom and long. The muzzle of a male Pyrenees should be broad, not too slender. The upper incisors should lightly cover 1/3 of the front end of the lower incisors, closely contacting like scissors, and the gap between the upper and lower incisors is very small.

3. The ears and nose of the great pyrenes, the great pyrenes should have erect ears. The nose should not be too long and wide, and the nose should be black.

4. The eye color of Great Pyrenees is best to be deep, and the eye shape is almond-shaped, and the ear is best to be upright. The eye color must be black, clear and transparent, without turbidity.

The typical coat color of Great Pyrenees is black back and yellow abdomen, and some have white spots on the front chest, which is generally dark brown, and there are also wolf gray Great Pyrenees, but very few; black around the muzzle is better, and most people prefer black. 6. The chest should be as deep as the elbow, the knees should be slightly bent, and the abdomen should be slightly retracted. The testicles of male dogs should be visible, and there should be no cryptorchidism or single testicle.

7. The limbs should be relatively strong, and the gait should be safe and comfortable. When choosing, let the puppies walk around. If after a few steps, the hind limbs merge together and jump, it may be injured. See if the limbs are forward horizontally, there is no inner eight or outer eight.

8. Pay attention to whether the appearance of the parents is good, and choose the strongest Great Pyrenees in the same litter. Choose a dog that neither shrinks from strangers nor is aggressive.

9. Puppies with pure coat color and less variegation should be selected. It is necessary to choose a puppy with rich hair, a good feel when grasped, and a puppy that can bounce off automatically. During this period, there may be a small amount of lanugo on the ears, which does not affect the appearance and can be purchased.
