Purebred Pomeranian Characteristics

Characteristics of a purebred Pomeranian:

1. The shape is spherical. The purebred Pomeranian is generally spherical in shape, its forelimbs are slightly higher than the hindlimbs, the back is straight and short (the distance between the forelimbs and hindlimbs is short), the chest is wide, deep and thick, the body is compact, tall and straight, strong and heavy feel.

2. The eyes are almond-shaped. Purebred Pomeranians have almond-shaped eyes, black in color, and the distance between the eyes is not too large.

3. The nose is wedge-shaped. The nose of a purebred Pomeranian should be small, with a thinner tip and a wedge-shaped nose, with the same color as the nose and coat.

4. The mouth is small triangle. The mouth of the purebred Pomeranian is very small, showing a small triangle.

5. The ears are triangular in shape. The ears of purebred Pomeranians are small and triangular in shape, mostly erect ears, just like the ears of foxes. When puppies (3-4 months old) the ears are almost invisible in the hair.

6. The frontal segment is at a right angle of more than 90 degrees. The frontal segment of the purebred Pomeranian is very obvious, and the right angle from the bridge of the nose to the head is maintained at more than 90 degrees. It will be more beautiful when it grows up.

7. The hair is in the shape of a spider web. The purebred Pomeranian has double coats, the undercoat is very soft and dense like a spider’s web, the top coat is straight and thick, covering the whole body, the head and chest are covered with decorative hair, and the front chest is very long. It is very wide, feels very comfortable to the touch, and has a lot of hair.

8. The tail is feathery. The feathered tail is one of the characteristics of the purebred Pomeranian. It is placed straight and flat on the back. The end of the tail can be curled or not, but the starting point of the tail should be high, close to the back, and the tail should be turned up higher than the back.
