How to bathe your dog in winter

1. Water temperature adjustment. For bathing dogs in winter, it is recommended that the water temperature should be close to body temperature, that is, 35 to 38 degrees Celsius, and pets will feel the most comfortable. To take a bath in the hot summer, do not soak the dog in cold water immediately, the water temperature should be kept stable and kept above 15 degrees Celsius.

2. Let the dog exercise before taking a bath, so that it can defecate and urinate. When taking a bath, put the dog in the bathtub, the movement should be light, don't let it be frightened, and then scrub from the head down.

3. Cleaning frequency In the cold winter, we all know to reduce the number of dog baths, but it is especially important to correctly grasp the frequency of dog bathing. In winter or autumn, because the temperature is low, if you take a bath slowly, the dog is easy to catch cold, so once every two weeks. Even pets that are kept indoors throughout the year should appropriately reduce the number of baths.

4. Clean the dirty part first. The dog's four paws, buttocks and mouth are all dirty parts of the body. Wash these areas with a soap solution, followed by a body wash. Be careful when using soap instead of bath liquid, because soap is a high-level detergent and easy to wash off, and then bathe the dog's body when washing these parts, so that the dog's body will be very clean after washing.

5. To prevent the bath water from entering the dog's eyes and ears, plug the absorbent cotton ball into the dog's ear, and dry the water in the external auditory canal with the cotton ball after washing.

6. The bathing time should not be too long. Try to keep it to about 15 minutes for small dogs, and about 20 minutes for large dogs.

7. After taking a bath, wipe the hair with an absorbent towel until it is half dry, and then dry it with a hair dryer.
