Causes of Enlarged Prostate in Dogs:

The enlargement of the prostate gland in dogs may be caused by inflammation stimulating the prostate gland, or it may be caused by cysts. If the dog is not sterilized after the age of 6, benign prostatic hyperplasia will also appear.

Diagnostic criteria for canine prostatic hypertrophy:

Abdominal palpation or digital rectal examination can make a preliminary diagnosis, and X-ray examination, that is, injection of contrast agent into the bladder and then taking a film, can confirm the diagnosis by showing abnormal size and shape of the prostate.

Canine Enlarged Prostate Treatment:
