5. If infected with bacteria, the symptoms include mild or moderate fever, and the body temperature can be as high as 38-38.5 degrees.

6. With the development of the disease, the sick dog may have symptoms of dehydration and acidosis. At this time, the sick dog often lies on the ground, the skin lacks elasticity, sunken eyes, conjunctival cyanosis, increased pulse, decreased urine output, and dark color.

Treatment for gastroenteritis in dogs:

1. Food therapy, food therapy can be used for mild symptoms, fasting for 24 hours, only give a small amount of drinking water, and then feed sugar and salt water rice soup (add 1 gram of salt and 10 grams of multidimensional glucose to every 100 ml of rice soup), or give broth , starch paste, milk, soy milk, etc., and then gradually thicken until the normal diet is completely restored.

2. To clean up the stomach and intestines, laxatives such as sodium sulfate and artificial salt should be taken orally in appropriate amounts.

3. Use berberine for anti-inflammatory and antidiarrheal 0.1-0.5 g/kg body weight, orally give to sick dogs three times a day. Sulfaamidine 0.1-0.3 g/kg body weight, 2-3 times for oral administration; phthalosulfathiazole 0.1-0.3 g/kg body weight, 3-4 times for oral administration; sulfamethoxazole, etc. Antibiotics can choose aureomycin, oxytetracycline and chloramphenicol. For non-bacterial enteritis, when the feces have been basically eliminated and the feces have no sour odor, but the sick dog still has persistent diarrhea, astringent drugs should be given to stop diarrhea, such as 0.5-2 grams of activated carbon, 0.5-2 grams of tannic acid protein, once a day. Bismuth nitrate 0.3-1 g, orally 3 times a day.

4. Cardiac supplementation In order to prevent dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, dogs should be given intravenous infusion of 100-500 ml of Ringer's solution, 100-500 mg of vitamin C, and 20 ml of 25% glucose solution, 1-2 times a day , but also intravenous infusion of lactic acid compound sodium chloride solution.

5. Symptomatic treatment can be supplemented with vitamin B, vitamin C and vitamin K, especially for sick dogs with bloody stools, vitamin K should be supplemented.
