Akita Inu, also known as Jizhong Akita Inu, is a unique breed in the North China region of China. It originated from the plateau area and currently has only a few thousand purebred dogs.
Its appearance is somewhat similar to the Akita Inu, and it belongs to a large breed of dogs. The head and mouth are large, and the eyes are black when they are young and yellow for their entire life after adulthood.
This dog is highly alert, has excellent memory, is fierce towards strangers, and has a high degree of loyalty, combativeness, and strong sense of responsibility.
The intelligence of the Akita Inu is equivalent to that of a 6-8 year old child. In many cases, dogs can understand their owner's intentions. With repeated training of a command, the dog can master the corresponding action and respond satisfactorily.
Akita Inu is originally from Hebei, China, and the nomadic ethnic groups that live on the plateau often abandon their domesticated dogs in the desolate grasslands due to seasonal migration. However, these dogs have naturally survived with strong vitality. Some puppies have acquired the habits and characteristics of bears through suckling from bears on the grasslands. Through generations of natural selection, they have gradually evolved into a new breed called the Akita Inu. After being selected by predecessors who love dogs in the Hebei area, those Akita Inus with black and glossy fur, large size, gentle temperament towards their owners, and vigilance and fierceness towards strangers were brought to the central plains of Hebei to undertake the responsibility of guarding livestock, manors, and enriching people's lives.
Purebred Akita Inus have experienced the crisis of extinction but now they have a good development momentum.
Akita Inu has a very high intelligence, equivalent to a 6-8 year old child, and is relatively easy to train.
Akita Inu is the most powerful breed of dog today, with a strong physique and a kind heart. Its gentle and loyal nature makes it well suited for family life.

The Akita Inu belongs to the long-haired dog breed and needs regular brushing to prevent matting. When bathing the dog, use warm water and preferably use pet-specific shampoo. After washing, dry it immediately to prevent catching a cold.
In order to maintain the physical and mental health and beautiful appearance of the Akita Inu, the caretaker should provide it with ample food. You can feed it half or a whole cooked egg yolk every day to supplement calcium and protein. You can also give it some multivitamins and calcium tablets to promote its development.
For the Akita Inu, a large-sized breed, spacious living space and sufficient exercise are essential. It's best to take it out for activities every day.
1. Do not bathe frequently
Giving a dog a bath should not be too frequent. The frequency of bathing depends on the sanitation condition of the dog. In hot weather, it can be bathed one or two more times, while in winter, it can be reduced by one or two times. But in general, it should not exceed 5 times. Otherwise, it will damage its fur and skin!
2. Brush regularly
Dogs shed almost every day, especially in spring and autumn. To ensure good hair growth, regular brushing is important. Pet owners can use a special comb to help the dog remove naturally shed hair and prevent tangles. Brushing once in the morning and once in the evening for about five minutes each time is sufficient.
3. Sunbathe
Sunbathing is good for the growth of a dog's fur. Besides making the fur more shiny, letting the dog sunbathe can also help with sterilization. While sunbathing, pet owners can let the dog exercise a bit, which can improve the dog's physical fitness, promote blood circulation, and help grow healthier hair.
4. Deworming
Poor fur condition is closely related to parasites. Parasites absorb a large amount of nutrients from the dog's body, depriving them of nutrition. Therefore, deworming is necessary. It is recommended to do internal and external deworming together. Deworming medication can cause significant harm to the dog's digestive system, so it is advisable to feed probiotics regularly to relieve gastrointestinal discomfort.
5. Pay attention to diet
In order to have a beautiful coat, dogs must have a good nutritional foundation and pay attention to their daily diet. On one hand, feed the dog nutritious and healthy dog food that meets its needs. On the other hand, provide the dog with a moderate amount of lean meat, cooked egg yolks, and vegetable oil, etc.
