The Marshall Marten is not only very smart and cute, but also tamed more obedient than other ferrets in the ferret field. The Marten Marten is artificially raised and used to lying in the arms of others from an early age, and likes to make contact with people.
The Marshall marten, bred on Marshall Farm in the United States since 1940, has a history of more than 80 years. Today, Marshall has become the number one brand of pet ferrets worldwide, and its gentle personality and rich product line ensure a happy and healthy life for pet ferrets.
The level of domestication, mild temperament, and pure ferret pedigree guarantee a lifespan of up to 20 years in a healthy condition.
In order to cultivate the best pet ferrets, Marshall Farm not only has the most professional caregivers, but also professional zoologists. For decades, they have been breeding ferrets with the gentlest and most lively temperament through genes. In Beijing, China, there is also an animal research institution jointly established by Marshall and domestic institutions, highlighting the professionalism of Marshall's animal experts. It cannot be compared to ordinary breeding farms.
The Marten Marten is used to lying in the arms of others from an early age, likes to make contact with people, and is raised by humans. They can live in harmony with cats and dogs. Cleanliness is important to them。
The Marten Marten is known for its gentle and friendly nature and stable personality. Every marten that appears is equally cute and lively, without aggression, and loves to be close to people. Such a stable and good temperament cannot be formed in just a few years.
1, Heatstroke
When the temperature is around 30 degrees, pet martens will become tired, and at temperatures above 30 degrees, they are prone to heat stroke. High temperatures increase the likelihood of heatstroke. To avoid this problem, you should always ensure a fresh source of water and place their cage in a well-ventilated area. Avoid drafts and try not to blow the air conditioner near them. If the pet marten shows signs of heatstroke, such as panting, red gums, sticking out their tongue, weakness, trembling, lethargy, or unconscious twitching, you should immediately move their cage to a cool and ventilated place and immerse them in warm water (never use cold water). Then, contact a veterinarian immediately. Remember to put a bottle of cold mineral water in the cage for them to drink.
2, Hairball
Pet martens have some habits similar to cats, such as grooming themselves, so they can also develop hairballs. Using Marten Marten's pet ferret hairball paste can solve this problem. It can lubricate and dissolve the tangled hair and help them expel the hair from their stomach.
3, Intestinal obstruction
Sometimes martens may swallow soft pet toys, shoe heels, erasers, chair cushions, headwear, or rubber bands made of rubber materials, resulting in this rapidly life-threatening problem. Therefore, you should place some small rubber products that are easy for the pet marten to swallow out of their reach and always pay attention to their eating and chewing behavior to prevent it in advance.
4, Ear mites
If you frequently see your baby shaking their head, scratching their ears, and screaming, it may be due to ear mites. These parasites can make the marten's ear canal very dirty and cause them great discomfort. Therefore, you should regularly clean their ear canal to reduce the possibility of mite infestation. If ear mites are indeed present, although it is not a serious problem, you should still take them to see a doctor.
Choose a suitable basin according to the size of the pet marten, generally a No. 2 large basin is sufficient. In cold weather in winter, you can take a bath once a week. In summer, you can bathe 2 or 3 times a day depending on the actual playing environment. Change the water at least 3 times each time you bathe, and finally add 0.2% of disinfectant or use 0.1% household detergent for cleaning.
Regularly comb the fur of the pet marten, bathe it regularly, trim its nails, brush its teeth, and clean its ears.
The pet marten loves to play very much, so toys must be equipped to avoid boredom. But beware that the toys are not sturdy and easy to decompose or be swallowed.
Check the environment for items that may cause accidental harm to the pet marten, to prevent it from swallowing them. Give the pet marten regular examinations for intestinal parasites and teeth every year. Annual vaccinations for canine distemper and rabies are also necessary.
Administer monthly heartworm preventive medication.
If the owner has a cold, avoid contact with the pet marten because it can be infected with human cold.
Prepare a litter box like the one used for cats as a toilet for the pet marten.
Prohibit feeding the pet marten with human food, especially high-fiber or salty foods.
The indoor temperature should not exceed 30 degrees, as the marten may die suddenly if the temperature is too high.
1. Remember, do not eat randomly. Before letting it out to play, please close all the doors and clean up the garbage on the ground (martens are curious and will eat everything). Typically, when they eat foreign objects, they will have bloody stools, vomiting, and loss of appetite.
Basically, they eat grain, lactic acid bacteria, and qiangbao. Nutritional paste can be fed at three and a half months. Snacks can be fed after six months.
2. Keep it indoors in winter and pay attention to ventilation in summer, keeping it cool.
3. Please check the feces of the marten baby every day to see if it is normal. Generally, the feces before four months are relatively soft, and the feces after that will gradually become toothpaste-like. Healthy feces should be dark brown.
4. If there are sneezing, coughing, and runny nose at the same time, please use mei bei or add banlangen in the water.
