Singapore cat, English name: Singapura, originated in Singapore. In the early days, people called it the gutter cat or sewer cat because Singaporeans did not like this breed of cat, making them live in the sewer, hence its name. It wasn't until 1975, when
it was widely introduced to the United States, that its reputation grew and it became a beloved pet cat.
It has a very small size but has sturdy muscles. Adult female cats weigh less than 2 kilograms, making it the smallest registered cat breed in the world. This cat has an intelligent and playful personality, likes to play and is affectionate towards its owner, but is not destructive. Its appearance features charming large eyes, short and sleek fur resembling a hedgehog, and a unique 'M' shaped marking on its forehead, giving it an elegant and memorable demeanor.
