The Abyssinian Cat has a slim body shape, which is very flexible and muscular. It is slightly plumper than the Siamese Cat, with an overall elegant and noble temperament. Its fur is short, with large and pointed ears, a wedge-shaped head, almond-shaped eyes, which can be amber, light brown or green in color. There is a dark color ring around the eyes, like delicate eyeliner. The coat is reddish-brown with black or brown spots.
The Abyssinian Cat is a domestic cat, believed to be the descendant of cats brought to England by the Abyssinians in the 19th century, thus named. However, its true developmental history is not particularly well-documented, and there is still controversy surrounding its history. It is believed to be the descendant of the ancient Egyptian cat, revered as a "sacred object" in ancient Egypt, because it bears a striking resemblance to a blood-red ancient Egyptian cat. However, due to its overall appearance and some similarities to the African wildcat, some people believe that its ancestors are African wildcats.
