The Welsh Cat is a long-haired breed of Manx Cat. The Welsh Cat has a medium-sized body with strong bones and well-developed muscles. It has a round head, a full chest and hindquarters, giving it a sturdy appearance. Its hind legs are longer than its front legs, so it moves with a slight leaping motion; this cat also does not have a tail. These two features are the same as the Manx Cat. The fur is of medium length or longer, and it has a thick layer of inner fur. Despite its length, the fur does not tangle and is easy to groom, with a soft and shiny top coat. Therefore, various coat colors and combinations can be seen, with about over 30 different colors.
The Welsh Cat, also known as the long-haired Manx Cat, is a breed of cat without a tail. A few long-haired kittens were born from a short-haired Manx Cat in Canada in 1960. After careful examination of the pedigree, it was proven that there was no Persian Cat lineage, so it is a long-haired variation of the Manx Cat. Later, through selective breeding, the Welsh Cat was formed. As the original home of the Manx Cat, the Isle of Man, is located in the Irish Sea between Ireland and Wales, these Manx Cat siblings were named Cymric (Welsh in Celtic), which is translated here as Welsh Cat.
Suggested for cat lovers to keep.

If it is a stress reaction due to a new environment, it is not a big problem, and it is recommended to observe for a few more days. In terms of diet, avoid frequent changes of cat food to relieve gastrointestinal burden. Also, pay attention to portion control, feed small meals multiple times a day, and feed on a regular schedule. In terms of water, ensure it is clean and fresh, and do not give the cat mineral water, as it can easily cause urinary stones.

Hygiene: Because the cat has more hair, it is easy to carry various germs and fleas. For the health of the cat and the owner, the cat should be bathed regularly and groomed;
Diet: Different cats like to eat different foods. The owner should not randomly choose cat food on the market for convenience. The cat food should be carefully selected according to the type of cat, growth condition, and physical condition of the cat. Also, prepare special tableware for the cat;
Health: Like humans, cats also get sick. When the cat is sick, it must be taken to a specialized animal hospital for treatment. It is also necessary to periodically examine and vaccinate the cat. Only when the cat is in good health, it has the energy to play with the owner;
Safety: There is a saying "Curiosity killed the cat". Cats are restless creatures and are always curious about various things. And their nature makes them like to enter some enclosed spaces. Therefore, the owner must close doors, windows, and lids to prevent the cat from getting into potential danger;
Living Space: Cats love to lie down and take a nap the most. Therefore, as a owner, prepare a small cushion for it to sleep. After the cat has used these cushions for a long time, there will be a lot of bacteria. Therefore, always pay attention to cleaning and disinfection;
Cat Litter: The problem of pets defecating everywhere has troubled many pet owners. But in fact, cats are very clean animals. As long as the owner provides cat litter for the cat, it will go to the cat litter to defecate by itself;

1. Relax the cat: Before grooming, you can give the cat a massage. Wait until the kitten starts purring before proceeding with the following steps;
2. Comb along the fur: From the back → waist → hindquarters → tail; you can wet the cat's fur with a small amount of water to reduce static electricity. Comb along the direction of hair growth, from top to bottom;
3. Comb from the chest to the abdomen: Lift the cat up and sit on your lap in a human pose. Comb from top to bottom. The cat's belly is more sensitive, so the owner must be quick and accurate when grooming;
