Anatolian Shepherd Dog, also known as Kangal, Karabas Dog, Malakli Dog, Anatolian Dog, originates from Turkey.
This dog is robust, with strong bones and a sturdy and powerful build. Its lively and agile movements, as well as its enduring endurance, leave a deep impression.
Anatolian Shepherd Dog has lived in Turkey since the Babylonian period (2800-1800 BC) until now.
Approximately more than 1000 years ago, a group of Turkish-speaking people settled in certain areas of Asia Minor, bringing along their proud shepherd dogs, which are the ancestors of Anatolian Shepherd Dogs. During that ancient era, the Turkish people kept shepherd dogs not for herding, but as military dogs to help guard the territory. It was only later that they gradually started to utilize their herding abilities.
This dog needs a lot of exercise every day to vent its abundant energy, so it is not suitable for living in cramped urban spaces.
This dog needs regular grooming and should be raised by someone with ample time. It is best to have no children or other pets in the house.
It lacks dependence and is not very obedient, so overall it is not very suitable as a companion dog or pet.
It is highly alert, intelligent, cautious, and naturally protective with a strong sense of territoriality. It is absolutely loyal to its owner and distrusts strangers. However, as long as strangers do not enter its territory, it will not attack. It is an excellent family guard dog.
Sometimes it can be stubborn, so it is more suitable to be raised by experienced and mild-mannered owners.

1, Regularly comb the fur
2, Requires experienced caregivers for long-term training
3, Very active, needs a lot of exercise with it every day
1. Do not bathe frequently
Giving the dog a bath should not be too frequent. The frequency of bathing depends on the dog's hygiene condition. In hot weather, you can bathe the dog one or two more times, while in winter, you can reduce it by one or two times. But in general, it should not exceed 5 times. Otherwise, it will damage its fur and skin!
2. Regularly brush the coat
Dogs almost shed their fur every day, especially during spring and autumn. To ensure good fur growth, regular brushing is an important step. Pet owners can use pet-specific brushes to help remove naturally shed fur and prevent tangles. Brushing once in the morning and once in the evening, each time taking about five minutes, is sufficient.
3. Sunbathe
Sunbathing is beneficial for the dog's fur growth. In addition to making the fur more glossy, letting the dog bask in the sun can also help kill bacteria. While sunbathing, the owner can let the dog exercise a bit to improve its physical fitness, promote blood circulation, and grow healthier fur.
4. Deworming
Poor fur condition is closely related to parasites. Parasites absorb a large amount of nutrients from the dog's body, depriving it of nutrition. Therefore, deworming is necessary. It is recommended to do both internal and external deworming. Deworming medication can cause significant damage to the dog's gastrointestinal tract, so it is advisable to combine it with probiotics to relieve gastrointestinal discomfort.
5. Pay attention to diet
In order to have a beautiful coat, it is necessary to establish a good nutritional foundation and pay attention to daily diet. On one hand, feed the dog with nutritious and healthy dog food, choose a brand that is suitable for the dog and provides sufficient nutrition to meet its needs. On the other hand, you can also feed the dog with lean meat, cooked egg yolk, and vegetable oil in appropriate amounts.
