East African Hound, also known as Arabian Hound, Antelope Hound, Gazelle Hound, Saluki Hound, Saluki. Originated in Egypt.
It is said to be the oldest breed of dog raised by the ancient Egyptian royal family, and together with nomadic tribes, hunt foxes in North Africa and West Asia.
Dignified and elegant in expression, gentle in personality, noble in temperament, profound, confident, looking into the distance while walking.
Sharp vision, fast running speed, can run in the wilderness, and has excellent endurance. It is capable of killing gazelles or other prey in the depths of the desert or the Rocky Mountains.
East African Hound, is a noble dog from ancient Egypt. The Saluki's traces can be found in records dating back a long time ago. Sculptures of Saluki have been discovered in Egyptian tombs dating back to 2100 BC. Many European paintings have also depicted dogs resembling Saluki, characterized by their streamlined bodies and long pendulous ears.
Its strength enables it to easily kill an antelope, so it is also known as the Gazelle Hound.
In Islamic culture, dogs are considered unclean animals, but the Saluki is treated specially and allowed to live in Islamic households. During Arab hunting, trained falcons swoop down on prey to hinder their movement, while Salukis chase and capture the prey on the ground, bringing it back to the hunter.
The Saluki is intelligent and loyal, with a noble temperament, belonging to a precious breed. However, due to its hunting background and strong hunting desire, it needs to be strictly trained from a young age. It is more suitable for experienced individuals to raise.
If kept as a pet, it is necessary to ensure sufficient exercise every day, so it is more suitable for people who can provide enough space for the dog to exercise.

The East African Hound is very active and sometimes wants to run out as soon as the door opens. At this time, you should promptly give the command "wait" or "back" to stop it. Then slowly take it out for activities. When returning home, at the door, you should give the command "wait" first, and then give the command "okay" to let it enter the house. For individual dogs that are afraid to go out, apply some force to pull them out of the door, stay around the house for a while, and gently encourage them in their mouths to make them less timid.
In the hot summer, dogs will lose a lot of water, so the owner must pay attention to keeping enough clean water in the dog's food bowl to prevent them from dehydration.
Some owners may feed their dogs tea, juice, beer, milk, and other beverages, but it is best to let them drink clean water. Of course, occasionally a small amount of beverages as a treat is also acceptable.
1. Do not bathe frequently
When bathing a dog, of course, it should not be too frequent. The frequency of bathing a dog depends on the dog's hygiene. In hot weather, you can bathe it one or two more times, and reduce it one or two times in winter, but the total should not exceed 5 times. Otherwise, it will damage its fur and skin!
2. Brush regularly
Dogs shed hair almost every day, especially in spring and autumn. Seasonal shedding is more severe. To grow good fur, regular brushing is an important step. Pet owners can use special pet brushes to help dogs remove natural shed hair and avoid tangling. Brushing once in the morning and once in the evening for about five minutes each time is enough.
3. Sunbathe
Sunbathing is beneficial for the growth of a dog's fur. Besides making the fur more shiny, letting the dog sunbathe can also help kill germs. While sunbathing, pet owners can let the dog exercise a bit, which can improve the dog's physical fitness, promote blood circulation, and help grow healthier fur.
4. Deworming
Poor fur condition is actually closely related to parasites. Parasites absorb a large amount of nutrients from the dog's body and compete for nutrition, so deworming is essential. It is recommended to do both internal and external deworming. Deworming drugs have a great impact on the dog's gastrointestinal tract, so it is recommended to feed probiotics regularly to alleviate gastrointestinal discomfort.
5. Pay attention to diet
In order to have beautiful fur, dogs must have a good nutritional foundation and pay attention to daily diet. On the one hand, feed the dog with nutritious and healthy dog food, choose a brand that is suitable for dogs and has sufficient nutrition to meet the dog's needs. On the other hand, you can also feed the dog with a moderate amount of lean meat, cooked egg yolk, and vegetable oil.
