In 1925, the Dutch Keeshond appeared in England and left a very good impression. In 1930, the Dutch Keeshond was recognized and registered by the American Kennel Club. With few exceptions, the early development of the Dutch Keeshond in the United States relied mainly on imports from England, and correspondingly, the Dutch Keeshond in England was imported from the Netherlands and Germany.
