Dutch Keeshond, was originally trained as a working dog. Because people often used them to guard boats on canals, they are also called boat dogs in the Netherlands. On the boat, they habitually curl up into a circle to save space.

This dog looks a lot like a Pomeranian, but is slightly wider in body than a Pomeranian, so people also call them "fat Pomeranian".

The Keeshond is a medium-sized dog that looks square in proportion. It is sturdy but not clumsy, with a cheerful temperament and not timid or aggressive. It is particularly friendly and has a very good memory. It is good at observing things and is very loyal to its owner, bringing endless joy to its caretaker.
