Malinois, also known as Belgian Malinois or Malinois. Malinois has high intelligence and is superior to other working dogs in terms of flexibility, obedience, and trainability. It is often used as a guard dog to ensure people's safety. Especially with its amazing jumping ability, an excellent Malinois can climb trees and easily cross walls as high as 3 meters, showing great loyalty to its owner during the work process. The military and police forces in countries such as the United States, Germany, Australia, and China have all realized that Malinois is an outstanding police dog and are widely raising them.
Malinois originated in Belgium and was bred by the Grey Bit Brothers at the Belgian Veterinary College. This breed was selected from all Belgian Shepherd dogs in 1891, and the name Malinois is derived from the city of Malines (Mechelen in French). At that time, the main job of this dog breed was herding cows and sheep. However, it seems a bit wasteful to only use it as a pure herding dog, because Malinois has exceptional abilities including agility, obedience, tracking, protection, and guard work.
Malinois is suitable for young men to regulate emotions, release energy, cultivate patience and sense of responsibility, and protect the personal safety of girls and children. It is specially used as a police and guard dog. This dog has an explosive temperament and must not be arbitrarily changed ownership, as it is prone to become aggressive and uncontrollable, resulting in incidents of injuring people.

1. When raising a Malinois, it is important to develop good eating habits. Remember to feed them at regular intervals. This will stimulate the dog's appetite by causing the secretion of gastric juice and promote digestion and absorption, preventing loss of appetite or decreased appetite. Adult Malinois should be fed twice a day, preferably once in the morning and once in the evening. The evening meal can be slightly larger as it has a longer feeding time. Before the age of one, a Malinois should be fed three times a day. Within three months, they should be fed four times a day. For Malinois that are less than two months old, they should be fed five times a day, following the principle of smaller meals more frequently during the developmental stage.
2. The gastrointestinal tract of a Malinois is not as strong as imagined. Therefore, except during the summer, warm feed should be given. The ideal temperature for the feed is around 40 degrees Celsius, avoiding it being too cold or too hot. Cold food can be given in summer, and in winter, it is necessary to warm the feed to around 30 degrees Celsius. The feed should not be too difficult to handle, as food that is too hot not only affects the appetite of the dog, but can also scald their teeth. Food that is too cold can easily upset their stomach.
3. Extra care should be taken with Malinois puppies or sick Malinois. It is best to feed Malinois puppies four times a day, gradually increasing the amount from small to large, starting from inferior to superior. The prescribed amount of food should be gradually reduced without overfeeding. Sick Malinois should be fed more liquid food, lean meat, eggs, or stimulating small-sized, easily digestible, and nutrient-rich food suitable for patients. Sick Malinois should drink plenty of clean water. Avoid strenuous exercise before and after meals.
4. In addition, attention should be paid to feeding utensils. After the utensils are used, they should be cleaned promptly. Residual debris or dirt can easily breed bacteria, which can affect the dog's health if they consume it for a long time.
1. Cannot bathe frequently
When bathing dogs, of course, it cannot be too frequent. The frequency of bathing dogs depends on the dog's hygiene condition. In hot weather, you can bathe them one or two more times, while in winter, you can reduce it by one or two times. But in general, it should not exceed 5 times. Otherwise, it will damage their fur and skin!
2. Groom regularly
Dogs will shed almost every day, especially in spring and autumn when the seasonal shedding is more severe. To make their fur grow well, grooming regularly is an important step. Pet owners can use a pet-specific comb to help dogs clean natural shedding fur and avoid tangling. Brushing them in the morning and evening for about five minutes each time is enough.
3. Sunbathe
Sunbathing is beneficial to the growth of dogs' fur and can make their fur more shiny. In addition, letting dogs sunbathe can help kill bacteria. While sunbathing, pet owners can let dogs exercise a bit, which can improve their physical fitness, promote blood circulation, and help grow healthier fur.
4. Deworming
Poor fur condition is closely related to parasites. Parasites will absorb a large amount of nutrients from dogs' bodies and compete for nutrition. Therefore, deworming is necessary. It is recommended to do internal and external deworming together. Also, deworming medications can cause significant damage to dogs' gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, it is recommended to feed them with probiotics regularly to relieve gastrointestinal discomfort.
5. Pay attention to diet
In order to have beautiful fur, dogs must have a good nutritional foundation and pay attention to their daily diet. On one hand, feed them with nutritious and healthy dog food. Choose a dog food that is suitable for them and provides sufficient nutrition to meet their needs. On the other hand, you can give them an appropriate amount of lean meat, boiled egg yolks, and vegetable oil, etc.
